Our Roots

We are a group of Southern California ISKCON devotees that are bringing for the first time ever the ancient tradition of Lord Jagannath Ratha-yatra to the streets of Santa Barbara. Some of us have been living in Santa Barbara for 25 years, and some of us have family roots that go back 125 years! What we all have in common is a sincere desire to serve Srila Prabhupada, who brought and taught this practice of bhakti-yoga throughout the U.S. and world, in his mission to spread the chanting of the holy names to every town and village.
